WINTER 2010-11 Entering Results – picture guide – click HERE

For this season at least you still send your match result cards to Keith, Sam or Jackie, and they will deal with any disputes you have re non-web related issues. As far as entering your results and using the website in general is concerned, then Laura Williams and Chris Iles are available to help you.

The benefit
of getting all the dates set up is that everyone can then see when their
matches are, can print out lists, and there is no need to send your fixture
lists out to other clubs.
Both
captains, especially the AWAY captain should ensure that all the players who
played in the match are available to be selected by the home team captain when
entering the result.
If it
proves impossible to select a player for any reason then use ‘unknown player’
and add player name in ‘comments’ box so that the organiser can then add it for
you. Please also email said organiser so they know that action is required.
Please don't change the password.

Okay, let’s
get going. Please see the online results process below showing you how to enter
your match results on the LTA website. We have included rules about timings etc.,
and it would be a good idea to get used to these rules. However, this is only a
trial so these rules won’t be adhered to this season.
AT THE MATCH: Home captain completes
match card, both captains sign, and home captain sends off to the relevant organiser,
as per usual. Both captains retain their own copy.
AT/AFTER
THE MATCH
YOUR LOGIN
DETAILS are being sent to you separately.
The Login name and Password are unique to your club. Please
distribute to trusted club officials only and DO NOT change the password
BOTH captains follow the steps below:
HOME team captain follows the steps below:
AWAY team captain
follow the steps below:
The system
doesn’t cater for half points so we have set it up to allocate 2 points per set
to allow for a halved set.
Yes. You need
a UserId to log into the system to enter (or confirm) a result, but anyone can
go to the website and look at the results without the need to log in.
Just search
for tournament ‘ADLTA’.
Home team
scores must be entered first (e.g. an away win is recorded 5-7, 6-4, 3-6)
Tiebreak
scores are not recorded; just the games total (e.g. 7-6)
Yes. When you go in as if you are going to enter a
result and will see a ‘reschedule match’ button. Click on this.
See above.
First change the date.
Add the names
of the players who played in it or would have played in it.
Select the
result of ‘unplayed no players’
If the
actual score was tied when the set was halted then enter that, otherwise enter
5-5. This will allocate a drawn set and give each team a point. Then please use
the comments box to record the real set score if it doesn’t match the score
entered. These games may be important in the case of a countback.
How it
works: You add a player to your club
pool. From there you select that player from the club pool and add them into
your team pool. From there you can select them for matches.
So, when
you click on <select player> you will be shown a drop down list of all
the players who are allocated to your team pool. The player you want may not
show up, so you need to add them to your team pool from your club pool (if they
are there).
So first of
all let’s see if the system has them in your club pool.
Click ‘ADD
PLAYER’ button.
A box will
pop up with the club-list of players for you to choose from. This box will
already have a ‘Select Players’ option highlighted and a list of players
displayed.
Is the
player you want in here?
If so,
highlight the name and click ‘OK’.
This will
add them to your team squad and so make them available for selection for the
rubber, under the original <select player>option.
If they are
not in the list then you may be able to add them. Just to the right of the
‘Select Players’ button is an ‘Add New Player’ button. Click on this.
You will be
able to add a player if it is for the home team, but not the away team. If the
player you wanted was from the away team you will need to use the ‘dummy player’
for this. Please then put the real name in the comments box and we can add it
for you. If the player you want is a home tesm player then go ahead and add
them. This adds them to the club-list. You will then need to select them for
the team squad. .
NB: You
ought to be able to add players at any time but this season you have not been
able to, other than when entering a result. We hope that the inability to do
this will be with us by next season. In the meantime, if you know of any names
which need adding, let Laura or Chris know.
In the
Mixed league the Mens name should be entered above the Ladies. (sorry – it has
to be one way or the other – I tossed a coin, honest).
If a team
concedes the match then the match is awarded to the other team and the result
is entered using the ‘Enter Team Result’ option as opposed to the ‘Enter Rubber
Result’ option. Please follow the
process below:
1. Follow steps 1-7 of the ‘BOTH’
captain’s process (above)
2. Click ‘Enter Team Result’
3. Enter the winner and the score as
per your league rules, ie 6-0 sets
4. Click ‘save’
5. Put something in the comments box
for the organiser
The HOME
team is still responsible for entering this result.
If it is
unclear, or in dispute, then do not enter result until the situation has been
resolved by your usual contact.
If it needs
to be replayed, don’t record the result on the website. Your fixture secretary
will re-schedule the match as per usual and update the match fixture date.
A ‘British
Tennis Membership number’ or BTM No..
To find a
player’s British Tennis Membership number you can\use the player search
function at www.lta.org.uk/Search/PlayerSearch/.
Players
don’t require a BTM number to compete in our leagues but if you have one please
use it. Otherwise the suggestion is to use Surname + Initial + 01, eg NADALR01, NADALR02. This should only
be required if you are entering new players during the course of entering a
result.
Please
don’t try and concoct a fake BTM No. one which looks like a real one, ie all
numerics, as it will confuse the LTA’s main system.
Ideally, if
you have a BTM No., we’d prefer you gave it to us to use, even if a dummy
number has been used meantime. It makes it easier for us when setting up each
season.
This is
allocated by the LTA.
Any other questions, please contact
your fixture secretary, or Chris or Laura
